I have been an artist since the day I held a crayon. I refined these skills at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore during 2000-2004 with a BFA in illustration. Recently, I have taken up sumi-e ink washes on paper, however, not in the traditional sense. I have a strong will to force the ink to do what I want, instead of letting it be spontaneous and expressive. I think my art still has expression, even so. I also paint with acrylic, watercolor and guache. Then there's little clay sculptures I love to make as well as paper mache monsters and such. Some older works can be seen at Lorieskamo.com. I also dabble a fair amount in Photoshop and Illustrator. Currently, I work as an illustrator at Fifth Sun in Chico, CA since 2005.
