My mother is an artist, as well as my great grandmother. I must have inherited their creative gene. I cannot imagine my life without art. I refined my skills at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore during 2000-2004 with a BFA in illustration. This foundation is embedded in my core. Recently, I have taken up sumi-e ink washes on paper, however, not in the traditional sense. I have a strong will to force the ink to do what I want, instead of letting it be spontaneous and expressive. I think my art still has expression, even so. I also paint with acrylic, watercolor and guache. I'm also pretty crafty in the DIY department, as well as quite adept in Photoshop and Illustrator for design work and other endeavors. Currently, I work as a t-shirt and apparel illustrator at Fifth Sun in Chico, CA since 2005.
